Tip #1: Be alert. Don’t leave food unattended on a hot stove.
Tip #2: Keep oven mitts, dish towels and wooden utensils away from the heat.
Tip #3: Wear close-fitted clothes with short or tightly rolled sleeves.
Tip #4: Don’t place metal or foil in the microwave.
Tip #5: Never throw water on a grease fire! Smother the flames with a pan’s lid.
Bonus tip: Keep a fire extinguisher nearby… and read its instructions before you need it!
